Our prediction for this Champions League match:
All eyes will be on Ibrox when Rangers and Club Brugge lock horns in the Champions League playoffs, first leg. Rangers did well to eliminate Plzen in the third qualifying round, but Tuesday’s match will be anything but a walk in the park for the Scottish vice-champions. Cyriel Dessers limped off with injury in the last qualifying match, with Danilo Pereira likely to step up.
The Blauw-Zwart, on the other hand, are on a four-game winning run in all competitions. Nicky Hayen rested several first-team regulars in a 1-0 win over Waregem, but the 45-year-old is going to field the best possible side against Rangers. The Gers are a real force to be reckoned with at home and given Club Brugge’s attacking potential, there is a big value in betting on both teams to score. Nicky Hayen should have a full squad to choose from for the first leg.
Highlighted Player (Hans Vanaken):

Hans Vanaken is a Belgian footballer who was born in Neerpelt on August 24, 1992. Hans Vanaken is a product of PSV football academy, joining the club at the age of 10, but in 2008 he joined Lommel United. The Belgian midfielder continued wearing the green shirt at senior level, scoring 21 goals in 80 appearances for the club in the league.
In 2013 he moved to Lokeren and after spending two seasons at Daknamstadion, he signed a deal with famous Belgian team Club Brugge. Vanaken has established himself as one of the team’s key players and he is likely to play an important role in the Jan Breydel Stadium outfit in the 2019/2020 Europa League season.
His main position is attacking midfielder, but he is used as both central midfielder and left midfielder as well. He has a contract with Club Brugge until June 30, 2024.
Highlighted Team (Rangers):

Glasgow Rangers are one of the two synonyms for Scottish Football. Glasgow Rangers were founded back in 1872 and they have been playing an important role in the Scottish top flight ever since. The Gers won their 54th Scottish Premier League title in the 2010/2011 season, but winning of European Cup Winners’ Cup trophy in 1972 is considered the club’s biggest success.
Glasgow Rangers defeated Dynamo Moscow in the final of the competition, with the likes of Stein and Johnston (two goals) scoring for the Scottish side. Celtic are considered the club’s biggest rivals and there have always been fireworks when the two teams meet in the Old Firm derby. The likes of Paul Gascoigne, David Weir, Stefan Klos, Chris Boyd, Ian Durrant and Kenny Miller are some of Rangers’ former notable players.
It has to be noted that the Gers welcome their rivals at Ibrox Stadium, the venue with the capacity of 50,817. Rangers’ support is largely drawn from the Protestant Unionist community.
