Our prediction for this Champions League match:
Sporting CP will be aiming to build on a 2-0 win over Nacional when they face Bologna in the Champions League decider. The Lions are sitting in 23rd place in the standings ahead of Wednesday’s clash, meaning that this has to go down as a must-win game for Rui Borges’ troops. All Goncalves, Quaresma, Santos, and Jerry St. Juste miss out with injuries for the home side, while Viktor Gyokeres returns to the starting XI after coming as a substitute in a 2-1 loss to Leipzig.
The Rossoblu, on the other hand, missed out on a spot in the Champions League knockout stages. As Bologna have nothing to play for in the Estadio Jose Alvalade game, we are tempted to place our bets on the Primeira Liga champions. To make things even worse for the away team, Swiss midfielder Remo Freuler is out of contention through suspension.
