Our prediction for this Copa del Rey match:
Estadio Municipal de Malata will host Friday’s Copa del Rey game between Racing Ferrol and Rayo Vallecano. The Galicians suffered a dip in form, losing to both Almeria and Zaragoza in the previous two Segunda Division games and they face yet another uphill task against los Vallecanos. Defender Moi limped off with injury in the last league match, with Roberto Correa likely to replace him in the starting XI.
The capital club, on the other hand, have drawn each of their last three league matches. Rayo are enjoying a successful La Liga campaign, but given their ups and downs on the road, we are tempted to put our money on draw. In their last encounter in the Spanish second tier, Rayo Vallecano and Racing Ferrol played out a goalless draw, which goes in favour of our earlier prediction. Pelayo Fernandez remains on the sidelines, speaking of the visiting team.
