Our prediction for this Copa del Rey match:
A place in the Copa del Rey quarter-finals will be at stake when Girona and Rayo Vallecano face each other at Estadio Municipal de Montilivi. Girona are on a five-game winning run in all competitions, and they head into the match following a 2-1 win over Fuenlabrada. Experienced attacker Stuani, who found the net in the last league match, will be one of the men to watch in the home team.
Los Vallecanos, on the other hand, set up a meeting with Girona by beating Mirandes on the road thanks to Andres Martin’s goal. The capital club, though, produce much better showings at home than on the travels, which is probably the main reason why home win should be considered. Both Unai Lopez Cabrera and Martin Merquelanz are sidelined with injuries, but there are no suspended players in the away team ahead of the trip to Catalonia.
