Our prediction for this Copa del Rey match:
A spot in the Copa del Rey quarter-finals will be at stake when Girona and Villarreal face each other at Estadio Municipal de Montilivi on Tuesday evening. Girona head into the match following a win over Espanyol in the Catalan derby, with the team eyeing their third consecutive clean sheet in all competitions. The Catalans are tough to beat at home, but they face an uphill task in the Spanish Cup clash.
The Yellow Submarine, on the other hand, are enjoying a very successful season, with the team sitting in the fifth place in the La Liga standings, while making it to the Europa League knockout stages. Villarreal recorded three wins in the previous four away games in all competitions, and even though boss Unai Emery is likely to stick to his rotation policy, we are tempted to put our money on the La Liga side.
