Our prediction for this Copa del Rey match:
Estadio La Romareda will host Thursday’s Copa del Rey game between Zaragoza and Sevilla. Los Blanquillos are on a three-match losing run in La Liga 2, and, no doubt, they are eager to give fans something to cheer about. All Sainz, Zapater, Azon, Sergio, and Adrian are pushing for a start. Los Sevillanos, on the other hand, failed to impress in the last 64, but they eventually eliminated lower-league side Andratx on penalties.
Considering that Julen Lopetegui is going to rest key players in Thursday’s clash, we are tempted to put our money on draw. Centre-back Kounde is back from the La Liga ban, while all Diego Carlos, En Nesyri, and Rekik are rated doubtful for the game as the trio was tested positive for coronavirus. Lamela, Navas, and Suso should miss out with injuries, while Luismi and El Haddadi are pushing for a start.
Highlighted Player (Alvaro Gimenez):
Alvaro Gimenez is a product of Elche football school who plays for fellow La Liga side Cadiz as a forward. Alvaro played for several Spanish clubs in the past, including Elche, Valencia B, Torrellano, Mallorca, Alcorcon, Almeria, before joining Birmingham City in the 2019/20 season.
After scoring only three goals in 24 appearances for the Blues in the Championship, Alvaro Gimenez returned to Spain at the end of the season, signing a deal with La Liga newcomers Cadiz. The Spanish attacker made his debut with the “Yellow Submarine” on October 4, 2020 in a 1-1 draw with Granada. Gimenez’s preferred foot is left, and his contract with Cadiz should expire on June 30, 2023. The Cadiz attacker has three caps with the Spain U17 team, but he has yet to earn a call-up for the senior team.
