Our prediction for this Coppa Italia match:
Stadio Artemio Franchi will host Wednesday’s Coppa Italia clash between Fiorentina and Inter. The Viola were more than fortunate to beat Cagliari in their last Serie A game as the Sardinians failed to convert a penalty in the first half. Fiorentina have been showing signs of improvement of late, and they are surely capable of matching Inter, who are fully focused on the national championship. The Nerazzurri came from behind to share the spoils with Roma in the Serie A derby at the weekend, with the team remaining in the title race.
Since Antonio Conte is likely to rest several first-team regulars in Wednesday’s Italian Cup game, we are tempted to put our money on draw. Matteo Darmian suffered an injury in the 2-2 draw with Roma, with the former Manchester United defender joining Vecino, D’Ambrosio, and Pinamonti in the recovery room. The good news for the hosts is that important midfielder Gaetano Castrovilli returns from suspension.
Highlighted Player (Franck Ribery):
After playing for the likes of Boulougne, Ales, Brest and Metz in France, Frank Ribery joined Galatasaray in 2005, but he spent no more than six months at the club. The French winger, who was born on 7 April, 1983, returned to Ligue 1, signing a deal with Olympique Marseille. Ribery scored 11 goals in 60 league appearances for the OM and Bayern Munich scouts spotted him during the 2006/2007 season.
The French footballer signed a four-year deal with the Bavarians on 7 June, 2007 for a fee of €25 million. Ribery has been playing for the German giants ever since and it has to be noted that he won his sixth Bundesliga trophy in the 2015/2016 season and the Champions League title in 2013.
The Bayern Munich ace played for France at the 2006 FIFA World Cup and he made it to the final of the tournament with les Tricolores. He has 13 caps for France U21 team. Ribery’s younger brothers Francois and Steven are footballers as well.
Highlighted Team (Inter):
Internazionale Milano, known as Internazionale, Inter or Inter named Milan, is a football club from Italy, founded on March 9, 1908 by a number of "rebels" who did not like in the regulations of the Milan Cricket and Football Club, now known as AC Milan. The main objection was that no foreign players were allowed. In 1928 the club merged with US Milanese and strongly entered a time when Ambrosiana-Inter survived.
The club, nicknamed the Nerazzurri or the blue / blacks has had many successes. This is how Inter Milan won 18 national titles, seven times the Italian Cup, the UEFA Cup 3x, and 3x times the Champions League, formerly known as the European Cup I.
