Our prediction for this Coupe de France match:
All eyes will be on Matmut Atlantique when Bordeaux and Rennes, the two old rivals, face each other in the Coupe de France last 64. After filing for bankruptcy in July, Bordeaux are currently competition in National 2. Les Girondins are going through a tough period and it is no wonder the bookies see them as big underdogs in Sunday’s clash. A man to keep an eye on in the home team will be experienced attacker Andy Carroll, who has netted seven goals for Bordeaux in all competitions so far this season.
Les Rouges et Noirs, on the other hand, have big ambitions for the 2024/2025 Coupe de France campaign as they aim to represent France in European competitions next term. Anyhow, Rennes are more of a team than Bordeaux and we predict that the Ligue 1 side will showcase their worth on the field. The likes of Ait Boudlal, Alidu Seidu, and Dogan Alemdar should miss out with injuries for the visiting side.
