There will be fireworks when Union Berlin and Wolfsburg face each other in the DFB Pokal last 16 on Tuesday evening. The capital club did well to beat Hertha in the Berlin derby, with the team keeping their 100% record in 2023 intact, and, no doubt, they are brimming with confidence ahead of the visit of Wolfsburg. Paul Seguin should be recalled to the starting XI after scoring as a substitute in the local derby, while fellow midfielder Morten Thorsby remains in the recovery room.
The Wolves, on the other hand, kicked off 2023 in style, with the team rolling over both Freiburg (6-0) and Hertha Berlin (5-0), but they head into the match following a 2-1 loss to Werder Bremen. Since Union Berlin have turned their Stadion An der Alten Forsterei into a real fortress, home win should definitely be considered.
