Leeds United will be aiming to build on a splendid 3-0 win over Chelsea when they take on Barnsley at Elland Road on Wednesday evening. The Whites are likely to adopt yet another attack-minded approach, but keep in mind that key players will be rested in the EFL Cup clash. In-form Rodrigo is likely to drop to the bench, with talented forward Joe Gelhardt pushing for a start. All Ayling, Bamford, Dallas, and Firpo should miss out with injuries as well.
The Tykes, on the other hand, experienced all sorts of problems at the back in a 3-0 loss to Wycombe, and seeing that Leeds United are a real force to be reckoned with at home, we do not believe that the League One side are capable of making it to the EFL Cup last 32. Michal Helik should be the only absentee in the away team.

Known for his technical ability and versatility, Patrick Bamford is an English professional footballer who plays for Leeds United in the Championship. The 6ft tall forward who was born in Grantham, Lincolnshire, is a Nottingham Forest youth product and signed his first professional with the club in 2011. He made his professional debut, playing for the Reds in a 0-1 home defeat to Cardiff on the 31st of December, 2011.
Bamford's career then took him to Premier League giants Chelsea with whom he signed a five year deal worth 1.5 million pounds on the 31st of January, 2012. His time at the Blues included loan spells at clubs like Milton Keynes Dons, Derby County, Middlesborough, Crystal Palace, Norwich, and Burnley. He scored his first professional goal while playing for Milton against Crewe Alexandra on the 19th of March, 2013. In January 2017, Bamford permanently left Chelsea to reunite with Middlesborough on a four-and-a-half-year deal. In his second spell, Bamford made 47 appearances for the club and scored 12 goals.
The Striker followed up by joining Championship side Leeds United for the 18/19 season and is currently on a four-and-a-half-year contract with the club. Born on the 5th of September, 1993, the 26-year-old initially featured for the Republic of Ireland under-18 team before switching to represent England for whom he's gone on to serve at the under-18, under-19, and the under-21 level.

Barnsley are an English club nicknamed the Tykes. The club was founded in 1887 and it has to be noted that they spend more seasons in the Championship than any other club in the history. The Tykes played in the Sheffield and District League from 1890, but in 1895 they were part of the Midland League. Barnsley play their home games at Oakwell, the stadium that was built in 1887.
The capacity of the stadium is 23,009 and it was opened back in 1888, just one year after the club’s foundation. The Tykes made it to the FA Cup final in 1910, but Newcastle United proved to be a big catch for the Oakwell outfit in the title game.
Nonetheless, Barnsley won the FA cup trophy in 1912 and that is considered the club’s biggest success. Barnsley defeated West Bromwich Albion in the two-legged tie (0-0, 1-0) to clinch the prestigious trophy for the first and only time in their history.
