Our prediction for this Euro 2024 match:
Third place in Group A will be at stake when Scotland and Hungary go head to head at MHPArena on Sunday evening. The Scotts quickly bounced back from a heavy 5-1 loss to Germany, with the team sharing the spoils with Switzerland in their second group game, but they face a must-win situation against Hungary. Real Sociedad defender Kieran Tierney limped off with injury against the Rossocrociati, with Scott McKenna likely to step up.
The Hungarians, on the other hand, have been struggling at the European Championship finals, with the team losing each of their two group games. As Hungary are obviously struggling at the back, we are tempted to put our money on Andy Robertson and Co. this time out. There are no fresh injury worries in Marco Rossi’s team ahead of the trip to Stuttgart. When the two teams met in a friendly six years ago Scotland defeated Hungary 1-0 thanks to Matt Phillips’ goal.
