Slovenia and Denmark face each other at MHPArena in a highly-anticipated Group C opener. Slovenia were producing fine displays in the EURO 2024 qualifiers and they were level on points with their Sunday’s rivals in Group C. A man to keep an eye on in Matjaz Kek’s team will be Leipzig striker Benjamin Sesko, but the opposition defenders should have Andraz Sporar at bay as well.
The Danes, on the other hand, are on a three-game winning run ahead of their EURO 2024 opener. Danish team seem to be well balanced and seeing that key players Christian Eriksen, Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, and Rasmus Hojlund are all fit for the Slovenia game, we are tempted to place our bets on Kasper Hjulmand’s charges. It has to be noted that Celtic man Matt O’Riley has been omitted from the Denmark EURO 2024 squad as well as Bournemouth midfielder Philip Billing.

Christian Eriksen born on 14th of February 1992 is a Danish football who plays as a midfielder for Tottenham Hotspur. Eriksen played in the youth of Odense BK and Ajax Amsterdam where he got picked up by Tottenham Hotspur after 3 seasons.
On 29th of August Eriksen got transferred for 13 million euro and is one of the most expensive Danish football players of all time. Christian Eriksen made his debut in March 2010 for the Danish national team and was the youngest player during the World Cup in 2010.
So far Eriksen played for over 200 club games for Ajax and Tottenham Hotspur. Eriksen is known for his great passing skills and game overview. In his career Eriksen managed to become national champion with Ajax 3 times and won several individual prices for being one of the most talented player of the moment.

Slovenia have been competing on the international stage following the split of Yugoslavia in 1991. The Slovenians were outclassed by France in their first unofficial match (0-5), whilst they shared the spoils with Estonia in their first official game (1-1).
The former Yugoslav republic participated at three major football tournaments, with the team making it to the FIFA World Cup finals in Japan and South Korea (2002) and South Africa 2010, whilst booking their place at the Euro 2000 which was hosted by Netherlands and Belgium. Slovenia, though, have yet to make it to the knockout stages of the major tournament and that remains their unfulfilled dream.
