Thursday’s Conference League qualifier at Football Academy Stadium pits together Ararat-Armenia and Universitatea Cluj. Ararat aim to kickstart the 2025/2026 season in style and they are likely to stick to their attacking style of play. The bad news for the home team is that Cameroon forward Marius Noubissi is no longer part of the team after joining Pyunik Yerevan in the summer transfer window.
The Romanians, on the other hand, have already kicked off the new domestic campaign, with the team beating Metaloglobus Bucharest, while sharing the spoils with UTA Arad.
