Dalga Arena will host Thursday’s Conference League game between Araz and Omonia, the two clubs that meet for the first time in European competitions. Araz did well to shock Aris in the second qualifying round, but they do not want to stop now. You should bear in mind, though, that defender Igor Ribeiro is banned for the first leg following his sending off last time out.
The Cypriotes, meanwhile, aim to build on back-to-back wins over Torpedo Kutaisi. Omonia, though, are not regarded as good travellers and given Araz’s fine performances in the double-header with Aris, home win should be considered. A man to keep an eye on in the away team will be experienced Montenegro attacker Stevan Jovetic, who scored a brace in the 4-0 crushing of Torpedo Kutaisi. There are no fresh injury worries in the visiting team ahead of the trip to Azerbaijan.
