Our prediction for this Europa Conference League match:
Randers and Cluj square off against each other at Cepheus Park in the Conference League round 5. Randers have drawn each of their first four group games, but they will not have a better chance than this to record their first win of the process. The Danish outfit impressed in a 4-1 win over Vejle, and they are likely to adopt yet another attack-minded approach against Cluj.
A man to keep an eye on in the home team will be Sierra Leone attacker Alhaji Kamara, while both Kehinde and Hammershoy-Mistrati have been tested positive for coronavirus. The Romanians, on the other hand, do not seem to be competitive at this level, with the team collecting only one point in total in the process. Since Randers are a real force to be reckoned with at home, the visitors are unlikely to grab something from the match.
Highlighted Player (Billel Omrani ):
Billel Omrani is a French footballer descent who plays for CFR Cluj as a forward. Born in Forbach on June 2, 1993, Omrani started his youth career at the age of six. Following spells with Merlebach and Gymnastique Marienau youth teams, Omrani moved to Marseille in 2007, and he continued playing for the OM senior team.
After scoring one goal in six appearances in the league for the club, Billel Omrani moved to CFR Cluj in 2016, but, in a meantime, he played for Arles-Avignon on loan as well. The French attacker has established himself as a first-team regular at the Romanian club, but he has yet to receive a call-up for the France national football team.
Omrani, though, has two caps with the France U19 team. His elder brother Abdelhakim is a footballer as well. Abdelhakim plays for Romanian club Dunarea Calarasi. Omrani’s favourite position in centre-forward, but he is used as a winger as well.
Highlighted Team (CFR Cluj):
Cluj are one of the oldest clubs in Romania as they were founded back in 1907 when the city of Cluj-Napoca was part of Austria-Hungary. The Feroviarii host their rivals at Dr. Constantin Radulescu Stadium, the venue which can hold up to 23,500 spectators.
Cluj are one of the most successful Romanian clubs of the 21st century, with the team clinching their fifth domestic trophy in the 2018/2019 season. Universitatea Cluj are considered the club’s fiercest rivals and it has to be noted that they first faced each other back in October, 1920.
The Feroviarii hold rivalries with Dinamo Bucuresti, Rapid Bucuresti, FCSB, Universitatea Craiova and Politehnica Timisoara as well. Speaking of European competitions, Cluj did well to make it to the UEFA Intertoto Cup final in 2005, with the team losing to French club Lens in the double-header. Cluj footballers wear claret shirts and claret shorts when playing at home, whilst the club’s away kit is white.
