Our prediction for this Europa Conference League match:
There will be fireworks when Shkendija and Valmiera face each other at National Arena Toshe Proeski on Thursday evening. Shkendija did well to win the first leg 2-1, but keep in mind that the reverse fixture will be played on neutral location (Skopje). Sidrit Guri should continue to lead the line for the hosts, but the opposition back-line must have winger Ljupce Doriev at bay as well.
Valmiera, on the other hand, are in the middle of the season, with the team rolling over Metta/LU 6-1 in their last league match. Given their attacking potential, and seeing that Shkendija looked sharp in front of goal a week ago, we believe that there is a big value in betting on both teams to score. Talented midfielder Lukass Vapne should be recalled to Valmiera’s starting XI after scoring a brace at the weekend.
