Our prediction for this Europa Conference League match:
Tehelne pole will host Thursday’s Conference League game between Slovan Bratislava and Zalgiris, the two teams who meet for the first time ever in European competitions. Slovan did well to overcome a one-goal deficit in the tie with Zrinjski, with the team booking their place in the group stages. The Slovaks aim to give fans yet another reason for celebration, but they will have to do it without goalkeeper Martin Trnovsky, who limped off with injury in a 1-0 loss to Banska Bistrica. Fellow shot-stopper Adrian Chovan is widely expected to replace him in the starting XI.
The Lithuanians, on the other hand, are on the right track to win the domestic trophy, and seeing that they will be fully focused on the national championship in the season finale, home win should be considered. A man to keep an eye on in the away side will be Brazil international Renan Oliveira, who has netted 12 goals so far this season.
