Zeljeznicar and Koper, the two ex-Yugoslav teams, face each other at legendary Stadion Grbavica in the first leg of the Conference League first qualifying round. Zeljo finished the last Bosnian Premier League campaign in 4th place in the standings, inches behind their bitter rivals Sarajevo and, no doubt, they face a difficult task in the upcoming Conference League double-header. The club chiefs have recently signed the likes of Obradov, Memisevic, and Roncevic, who are expected to make their debuts against Koper.
The visitors, on the other hand, aim to make amends for back-to-back losses to Grosuplje and Cukaricki in preseason friendlies. The Slovenians are seen as favourites to win this two-legged tie, but beating Zeljeznicar at packed “Grbavica” is easier said than done.
