Our prediction for this Europa League match:
AFAS Stadion will host Thursday’s Europa League game between AZ Alkmaar and Tottenham. The Cheese Farmers are determined to claim yet another major scalp after shocking Galatasaray in the previous round, but they will have a big fish to fry this time out. Experienced midfielder Jordy Clasie is widely expected to return to the starting XI, while the likes of Addai, Meerdink, Mijnans, Westerveld, and Ruben van Bommel remain in the treatment room.
Spurs, on the other hand, aim to recover from a 1-0 loss to Man City. Both Cristian Romero and Micky van de Ven are major doubts as well as attacking duo Dominic Solanke – Richarlison, while defender Radu Dragusin remains on the sidelines with injury. Anyhow, we believe that there is a big value in betting on draw as AZ Alkmaar are tough to beat at home. When the two teams met in London earlier in the process, Tottenham defeated AZ 1-0.
