Our prediction for this Europa League match:
Ulker Stadyumu in Istanbul will host Thursday’s Europa League game between Fenerbahce and Dynamo Kiev. The Turkish outfit faced no difficulties in the EL playoffs, with the team beating Austria Vienna 6-1 on aggregate, and they are now on a quest to get their revenge on Dynamo Kiev for the heart-breaking Champions League defeat. A man to watch in the home team will be summer signing Joshua King, while Ecuador international Enner Valencia is back from a domestic ban.
The Ukrainians, on the other hand, failed to upset Benfica in the Champions League playoffs, and given their displays in back-to-back losses to Dnipro and Zorya, we believe that there is a big value in betting on Fenerbahce. There are no fresh injury worries in the away team ahead of the trip to Istanbul, with both Denys Garmash and Sergiy Sydorchuk pushing for a start.
Highlighted Player (Mesut Ozil):
Mesut Ozil gained international recognition at the 2010 World Cup in South Africa. The attacking midfielder impressed with Germany at the showpiece tournament and, as a result, Real Madrid chiefs decided to sign him.
Ozil won the 2011/2012 La Liga trophy with los Blancos and, against all odds, the club bosses decided to sell him to Arsenal at the end of the 2012/2013 campaign. The Turkish-born player scored 19 goals for Real Madrid in 105 appearances for the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu outfit.
On the other hand, Mesut Ozil has yet to win the Premier League with Arsenal, but he helped North London club lift two FA Cup titles (2013/2014, 2014/2015). In 2014 Ozil lifted the FIFA World Cup trophy with Germany and, no doubt, that is regarded as the biggest success of his career. The German international used to play for Werder Bremen and Schalke 04 in the past as well.
Highlighted Team (Dynamo Kyiv):
The most successful football club in Ukraine, Dynamo Kyiv has not been relegated to a lower division since its inception in 1927. First founded as a part of the Soviet Dynamo Sports Society, Dynamo Kyiv became a member of the Ukrainian Premier League after the dissolution of the Soviet Union.
Over the course of its rich history, Dynamo Kyiv has won the total of 28 national titles, 13 of which came during the Soviet era. In addition, Dynamo Kyiv won 20 national cup competitions, while it also grabbed 3 major continental trophies, including two UEFA Cup Winners’ Cups. Oleh Blokhin remains to this date the most successful player of the Ukrainian giants with his 266 goals scored for the Kyiv club.
However, current Ukraine national team head coach Andriy Shevchenko is arguably the most recognisable player in Dynamo Kyiv history. Former Milan and Chelsea star scored the total of 124 goal during his two stints with the Ukrainian club.
