Our prediction for this Europa League match:
Eintracht Frankfurt and Slavia Prague square off against each other at Deutsche Bank Park in what is expected to be an interesting Europa League game. Die Adler produced an under-par performance against RFS, but eventually won the match thanks to Hugo Larsson’s goal. Eintracht Frankfurt footballers, though, must be high on confidence following a thrilling 7-2 win over Bochum and they are likely to adopt yet another attack-minded approach.
A man to keep an eye on in the home team will be former PSG forward Hugo Ekitike, who scored a brace against Bochum, while Dino Toppmoller has no fresh injury worries. The Czechs, on the other hand, head into Thursday’s game following a slim 1-1 draw with Hradec Kralove. As Slavia Prague are likely to stick to their attacking style of play, we are tempted to put our money on over 2.5 goals. The likes of Ogungbayi, Stanek, Vlcek, and Vorlicky miss out with injuries for the visiting side.
Highlighted Player (Mario Gotze):
Mario Gotze is a German midfielder, who played for Ronsberg and Eintrach Hombruch during his youth career before joining Borussia Dortmund in 2001. He made a great progress during his spell at the Borussia Dortmund’s youth academy and on 21 November, 2009 he made his Bundesliga debut for the Millionaires.
Gotze scored 22 goals in 83 league appearances for the club between 2009 and 2013 and he joined Borussia Dortmund’s bitterest rivals Bayern Munich on April, 2013. The German midfielder, who is capable of playing as a striker as well, failed to impress in the 2015/2016 Bundesliga campaign, but it has to be noted that he was struggling with injury at the start of the season.
Gotze won three Bundesliga trophies with Bayern Munich, but at the end of the 2015/2016 season he returned to Borussia Dortmund. In 2014 he represented Germany at the FIFA World Cup in Brazil and he scored the winner in the final against Argentina. Mario Gotze was born in Memmingen on 3 June, 1992.
Highlighted Team (Slavia Prague):
Slavia Prague is considered one of the most famous teams in Czech Republic. The Cervenobili won the Czechoslovak First League on 13 occasions and they lifted their fourth Czech First League in 2017. Despite winning the domestic trophy in the 2016/2017 season, Slavia Prague eventually failed to book their place in the Champions League group stages as they were beaten by APOEL of Cyprus in the play-offs. Sparta Prague are regarded as Slavia’s fiercest rivals and the two teams face each other in the Prague derby.
The club was founded on November 2, 1892 and it has to be noted that the club was initially focused on cycling. In March 1896 Slavia Prague recorded their first ever victory, with the team beating AC Prague 5-0. The Cervenobili play their home games at Eden Arena and the capacity of the venue is 19.084 (football). Slavia Prague are well known for their red and white shirts and white shorts.
