Our prediction for this Europa League match:
Estadio Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan will host Thursday’s Europa League game between Sevilla and Dinamo Zagreb. Los Sevillanos are seen as one of the main favourites to win the EL title, but they will have to prove their worth on the field. Rafa Mir is pushing for a start after finding the net in a 2-0 win over Elche, while all Lamela, Montiel, Navas, and Suso should miss out with injuries. Argentine winger Ocampos, though, should be fit for the first leg.
Dinamo Zagreb face an uphill task in Thursday’s showdown, and seeing that Sevilla have turned “Pizjuan” into a real fortress, anything but a routine home win would be a major surprise. The Croatian outfit are fully focused on winning the national championship, which is yet another reason why home win should be considered. In their last meeting in a competitive match Sevilla crushed Dinamo 4-0.
Highlighted Player (Anthony Martial):
Anthony Martial is a French football player born on the 5th of December 1995 in Lyonnais. Martial started playing for CO Les Ulis before Olympique Lyonnais picked him up. After only 1 season playing for Olympique AS Monaco signed Martial for 3 seasons. After 2 seasons Manchester United transferred Martial for 50 million euro which makes Martial the most expensive teenage football player in the world. Right after Martial’s transfer to Manchester United he made his debut for the French national team on the 4th of September 2015.
Martial is known for his speed and agility and being an easy scoring striker. Despite not having a lot of experience on the highest level of football Martial is showing to be very secure about his qualities. After the first couple of games playing for AS Monaco, Manchester United and the French national team Martial is showing to be able to handle the pressure.
Anthony Martial didn’t won any big prizes for any of the teams he played for. If the young French striker continues his current form he will be one of the biggest football players in the upcoming years.
Highlighted Team (Dinamo Zagreb):
Arguably the biggest club in Croatia and one of the most prominent football outfits in the Balkan region, Dinamo Zagreb have won 18 league titles, 11 of which came successively. Dinamo Zagreb have never been relegated to a lower tier of both Croatian and Yugoslav football.
Modri as they are called in Croatia are renowned for their impressive production line of youth footballers. Their highly organised football academy has so far produced world-class players such as Luka Modric, Mateo Kovacic, Marko Pjaca and many others. Dinamo Zagreb play their home matches at the Stadion Maksimir in front of 35,000 people.
The club lacked support during the last couple of seasons due to fans’ disagreement with club management, most notably notorious Zdravko Mamic, who is under investigation for long-lasting corruption, tax evasion and embezzlement. For the first time since 2015, Dinamo Zagreb will have the full support of their most faithful supporters in the Champions League.
