Manchester United
Manchester United will look to make amends for a 1-0 loss to Real Sociedad when they face Sheriff Tiraspolat Bolshaya Sportivnaya Arena on Thursday. The Red Devils are eager to pick up all three points from the match, but they will have to prove their worth on the field. Anthony Martial should be the only absentee in the away side, while Bruno Fernandes is widely expected to return to the starting XI.
The Moldovan champions, on the other hand, outplayed Omonia 3-0 in their opener, but they will have a much bigger fish to fry in their second group game. Since key players left Sheriff in the summer transfer window, we are tempted to put our money on Cristiano Ronaldo and Co. this time out. There are no fresh injury worries in the home team. In 2008 he helped the Old Trafford outfit beat Chelsea in the Champions League final, scoring for Alex Ferguson’s troops in the regular time.
Ronaldo joined Real Madrid in 2009 and he helped the Spanish giants with two Champions League trophies. In 2016 he won the European Championship trophy with Portugal. The Real Madrid ace has two Golden Ball awards (2013, 2014).
