Our prediction for this Europa League match:
Slavia Prague and Fenerbahce square off against each other at Fortuna Arena in what is expected to be a close Europa League encounter. Slavia Prague are eager to put an end to their three-game winless run in the Europa League, but they will have a mountain to climb against Jose Mourinho’s troops. The likes of Ogungbayi, Stanek, Vorlicky, and Vlcek remain in the recovery room, but there are no fresh injury worries in the home team.
The Turks, on the other hand, aim to recover from a 3-1 loss to AZ Alkmaar, but seeing that Slavia Prague are tough to beat at home, we are tempted to place our bets on draw. As former Leicester City defender Caglar Soyuncu remains on the treatment table, fellow centre-back Samet Akaydin should keep his place in the starting XI. As always, Edin Dzeko will lead the line for the visiting side.
Highlighted Player (Cengiz Under):
Cengiz Under is a professional footballer who plays for both Roma and the Turkish national team. Born in Sindirigi, Turkey on July 14, 1997, Under is a pacey winger who began his youth career at Bucasport. In 2013 he moved to Altinordu and he continued playing for the Doganlar Stadium outfit at senior level.
After scoring 11 goals in 51 appearances in the league for Altinordu, Cengiz Under moved to big-spending capital club Basaksehir. The left-footed attacker scored 7 goals in 32 appearances in the Super Lig before joining Serie A side Roma in the summer of 2017. Under signed a €13.4 million worth deal with the Giallorossi, making his league debut in a 3-1 loss to Inter on August 26, 2017.
The Turkey international came as a substitute for Danielle De Rossi in the 83rd minute of the match. Speaking of his international career, Cengiz Under made his debut for the Turkish national team on March 27, 2017 in a 3-1 win over Moldova.
Highlighted Team (Slavia Prague):
Slavia Prague is considered one of the most famous teams in Czech Republic. The Cervenobili won the Czechoslovak First League on 13 occasions and they lifted their fourth Czech First League in 2017. Despite winning the domestic trophy in the 2016/2017 season, Slavia Prague eventually failed to book their place in the Champions League group stages as they were beaten by APOEL of Cyprus in the play-offs. Sparta Prague are regarded as Slavia’s fiercest rivals and the two teams face each other in the Prague derby.
The club was founded on November 2, 1892 and it has to be noted that the club was initially focused on cycling. In March 1896 Slavia Prague recorded their first ever victory, with the team beating AC Prague 5-0. The Cervenobili play their home games at Eden Arena and the capacity of the venue is 19.084 (football). Slavia Prague are well known for their red and white shirts and white shorts.
