Our prediction for this FA Cup match:
Gillingham and Charlton will be aiming to book their spot in the FA Cup round 3 when the two sides face each other at Priestfield Stadium on Saturday afternoon. The Gills quickly bounced back from a 3-1 loss to Tranmere, with the team regaining a much-needed confidence, but they will have a big fish to fry against the League One side. Even though there are no fresh injury concerns in the home team, both Williams and Lapslie could sneak into the starting XI this time out.
The Red Robins, on the other hand, aim to build on a 2-1 win over Cheltenham Town, but they will have to do it without Miles Leaburn, who limped off with injury in the midweek clash. Serbia midfielder Slobodan Tedic is widely expected to replace him in the starting XI. Anyhow, away win should be considered as Charlton Athletic are more of a team than Gillingham.
Highlighted Player (Jake Forster-Caskey ):
Born in Southend-on-Sea, England on April 25, 1994 Jake Forster-Caskey is a midfielder who plays for Charlton Athletic in the League One. Forster-Caskey started his both youth and senior careers at Brighton & Hove Albion and it has to be noted that he scored five goals in 67 league appearances for the Seagulls first team.
After spending a couple of seasons on loan at the likes of Oxford United, Milton Keynes Dons and Rotherham United, the English footballer signed a two-and-a-half year deal with Charlton Athletic in the winter of 2017. Jake quickly established himself as a first-team regular at the capital club, scoring 5 goals in 43 appearances in the 2017/2018 League One campaign.
However, he was out of contention for most of the 2018/2019 season with a serious knee injury. His main position is central midfielder, but he is capable of playing as both defensive and left midfielder as well.

Speaking of the club’s main rivals, over the years the Gills have built up a rivalry to Swindon Town. However, it has to be noted that Swindon fans do not consider Gillingham their biggest rivals.
