Our prediction for this FA Cup match:
Leyton and Tranmere take on each other at Brisbane Road in the FA Cup last 64. Leyton kicked off their FA Cup campaign with a hard-fought 1-0 win over Ebbsfleet, and, no doubt, they are capable of eliminating the fellow League Two side in front of home fans as well. Both Wood and Sotirou are pushing for a start, with Archibald and Drinan likely to drop to the bench.
The Super Whites, on the other hand, are fully focused on the league as they are eyeing a place in the playoffs. Since Tranmere Rovers are not regarded as good travelers, we believe that punters from all four corners of the world can find value in betting on the hosts. A man to keep an eye on in the away team will be Germany international Paul Glatzel, who has found his goal-scoring touch of late.
Highlighted Player (Craig Clay):
After spending his youth career at Chesterfield, Craig Clay continued wearing the Spireites jersey at senior level. The English midfielder made 27 appearances for Chesterfield in the league before signing a deal with York City in the 2013/2014 season.
It has to be noted that he played for the likes of Barrow and Alfreton Town on loan as well before signing the deal with the Minstermen. Born in Nottingham, England on May 5, 1992, Craig Clay was part of Halifax Town, Worksop Town, Grimsby Town, and Motherwell squad as well in the past. Nowadays, the 180-cm tall midfielder plays for Leyton Orient in the League Two, the English fourth tier.
He made his League Two debut with the O’s on August 3, 2019, in a 1-0 win over Cheltenham Town. Craig Clay has one cap with the England C national team as he represented the Three Lions in a 2-0 win over the Ukraine U20 team on March 22, 2016.
Highlighted Team (Tranmere):
Based in Birkenhead, Merseyside, Tranmere Rovers are a professional club that compete in the League One. Tranmere were founded back in 1884 under the name of Belmont FC, with the football arms of cricket clubs Lyndhurst Wanderers and Belmont coming together. The club recorded their first win later in 1884 as they outclassed Brunswick Rovers 4-0.
Nowadays Tranmere Rovers play their home games at Prenton Park, the venue which can hold up to 15,567 people. The Rovers wear white shirts and blue shorts in home matches, but back in the 19th century orange and red were the dominating colours on their kit.
Tranmere fans see Bolton Wanderers as the club’s main rivals, but they have built a small rivalry with Chester City and Everton as well. The Prenton Park outfit did well to make it to the League Cup final in the 1993/1994 season, but Aston Villa proved to be a big catch for them in the title game.
