Our prediction for this FA Cup match:
Buoyed by a 2-0 win over Arsenal in the EFL Cup semis, Newcastle United will look to give fans yet another reason to celebrate when they take on Bromley in the FA Cup round 3. The Magpies are on a seven-game winning run in all competitions and they are seen as hot favourites to win Sunday’s clash as well. Even though there are no fresh injury worries in the home team, the likes of Miguel Almiron, Sean Longstaff, Harvey Barnes, and Lloyd Kelly should be recalled to the starting XI.
The Ravens, on the other hand, experienced all sorts of problems at the back in a 4-1 loss to Crewe and given Newcastle’s excellent form, we predict that the visitors are going to return home with their hands empty. To make things even worse for the League Two side, defender Kamarl Grant serves a one-game ban following his sending off in the Alexandra Stadium defeat.
Highlighted Player (Sandro Tonali):
After starting his youth career at Piacenza back in 2009, Sandro Tonali moved to Brescia three years later. The 181-cm-tall defender has been playing for le Rondinelle ever since and it has to be noted that he made his debut with the Stadio Mario Rigamonti outfit on August 26, 2017 in a 2-1 defeat to Avellino.
Sandro Tonali scored his first ever league goal for Brescia in a 4-2 loss to Salernitana on April 28, 2018. The talented midfielder, who was born in Lodi on May 8, 2000, represents Italy U21 team in international matches.
He made his debut with the Italy U21 national team on June 19, 2019 in a 1-0 defeat to Poland. His main position is defensive midfielder, but he is used as a central midfielder as well. Sandro’s preferred foot is right and his contract with Brescia should expire on June 30, 2021.
Highlighted Team (Newcastle):
Newcastle United failed to impress in the 2015/2016 Premier League campaign and, as a result, they dropped to the English second tier. The Magpies will host their rivals at their St. James’ Park in the 2016/2017 Championship campaign and it has to be noted that the capacity of the stadium is 52,354.
Newcastle United have won four domestic trophies (1904/1905, 1906/1907, 1908/1909, 1926/1927), while lifting six FA Cup titles (1910, 1924, 1932, 1951, 1952, 1955) and a number of star players were part of the St. James’ Park outfit in the past.
David Ginola, Michael Owen, Alan Shearer, Les Ferdinand, Nolberto Solano, Gary Speed, Obafemi Martins and Kevin Nolan are notable footballers who are still remembered at the club. Newcastle’s fiercest rivals are Sunderland and there have always been fireworks when the two local rivals face each other in the Tyne-Wear derby. The color of Newcastle’s home kit is black and white.
