Our prediction for this Gold Cup match:
A spot in the Gold Cup knockout stages will be at stake when Honduras and Curacao go head to head at PayPal Park on Wednesday morning. Honduras quickly bounced back from a 6-0 loss to Canada, with the team beating El Salvador 2-0 in their second group game and, as a result, they are one point away from sealing their spot in the quarter-finals. Dixon Ramirez is pushing for a start after scoring as a substitute in the second group game, while there are no fresh injury worries in the home team.
La Pantera Negra, on the other hand, head into the match following back-to-back draws with El Salvador and Canada. Honduras, though, seem to be more of a team than Curacao and we predict that the nominal hosts are going to prove their worth on the field. Speaking of the away team, Jeremy Antonisse could sneak into the starting XI after getting his name on the scoresheet in a 1-1 draw with Canada.
