Saint Kitts and Nevis and USA face each other at CITYPARK in a David-vs-Goliath clash. The Yanks kicked off their Gold Cup campaign with a 1-1 draw with Jamaica, but it has to be noted that all Weston McKennie, Giovanni Reyna, Sergino Dest, and Christian Pulisic were omitted. Cincinnati forward Brandon Vazquez could sneak into the starting XI after the 24-year-old scored the equalizer in the Group A opener.
The Sugar Boyz, on the other hand, suffered a 3-0 loss to Trinidad and Tobago in the opening match of their 2023 Gold Cup campaign and they face yet another uphill task in Thursday’s clash. As previously mentioned, David faces Goliath in St. Louis, meaning that anything but a routine away win would be a big surprise. Both Raheem Sommersall and Andre Burley are one yellow card away from suspension.

DeAndre Yedlin is a versatile 22-year-old young American footballer who is currently on loan at Sunderland from English Premier League side Tottenham Hotspur. His primary position is as a right-back but Yedlin can also play as a wingback or a wide midfielder. He is known for his speed on the wings and getting great crosses on the flanks.
Yedlin was part of Washington Youth Soccer’s State Olympic Development Program from 2006-09 before joining the Seattle Sounders FC youth academy in 2010. He played college soccer at the University of Akron starting in 20 games for the Zips.
Yedlin soon made his mark with Seattle Sounders and earned the record of becoming the first rookie to be named to the MLS team of the Week on his professional debut and the second rookie to make it to the All-star team. He earned his senior team debut in 2014 and has 33 caps to his name.
