Our prediction for this Gold Cup match:
BBVA Compass Stadium will host Wednesday’s football game between Suriname and Guadeloupe, the two teams who failed to book their place in the Gold Cup quarter-finals. Suriname are determined to record at least one victory at the 2021 CONCACAF championship, and we are positive that they will go all guns blazing at Guadeloupe. Galatasaray defender Ryan Donk is sidelined through suspension, but he should be the only absentee in the home team.
Guadeloupe, on the other hand, aim to make amends for back-to-back losses to Costa Rica and Jamaica. Since attacker Luther Archimede misses the match through injury, we are tempted to put our money on Suriname, who aim to finish the process in style. It has to be noted that Guadeloupe midfielder Steve Solvet is banned for the game after he was sent off in the defeat to Jamaica.
Highlighted Player (Dimitri Kevin Cavaré):
Born in Pointe-a-Pitre, Guadeloupe, Dimitri Kevin Cavare is a right-footed footballer who plays for Barnsley as a defender. Cavare spent his youth career at the likes of AS Nenuphars, Cactus Sainte Anne, CS Moulien and Lens and he continued playing for the Blood and Gold at senior level.
The pacey right-back made 21 appearances for Lens before signing a contract with Rennes in the winter of 2015. However, due to the lack of first-team football, Dimitri Cavare decided to leave the club, joining Championship side Barnsley in August 2017.
The Guadeloupe international has been playing for the Tykes ever since and it has to be noted that he scored 2 goals, while providing 5 assists for his teammates in 41 appearances for the club in the 2018/2019 League One season. Speaking of his international career, Cavare made his Guadalupe debut in a friendly against French Guiana on August 6, 2018.
