Lorient and Bordeaux square off against each other in an all-Ligue 1 friendly on Saturday. Les Merlus kicked off pre-season with a slim goalless draw with Concarneau, but they did well to beat Brest 3-2 in their second warm-up game. Since Lorient are likely to stick to their attacking style of play against Bordeaux, we predict that the nominal hosts are going to find the net in Saturday’s outing.
Les Girondins, on the other hand, defeated both Bergerac and Caen in pre-season, while sharing the spoils with Niort. Given Bordeaux’s attacking potential, punters from all four corners of the world can find value in betting on both teams to score. You should bear in mind that over 2.5 goals have been netted in six of the previous seven meetings between the two teams in all competitions. Thomas Monconduit is a product of Auxerre football academy. The midfielder made a great progress during his spell with the Stade de l’Abbe-Deschamps outfit and continued playing for the club at senior level. Monconduit scored three goals in 63 appearances for Auxerre II and he played 42 games for the first team from 2012 to 2014.
In 2015 he joined Amiens and you should bear in mind that the 178-cm-tall midfielder made 36 appearances for les Licornes in the 2016/2017 Ligue 2 campaign. Amiens finished the season in second place in the standings and, as a result, they secured promotion to the French top flight. Thomas Monconduit scored three goals during the season and, no doubt, he played a very important role in Christophe Pelissier’s team in the 2016/2017 season.
His main position is central midfield, but he is capable of playing as a defensive midfielder as well. Thomas Monconduit has a contract with Amiens which expires on June 30, 2018 and his preferred foot is right. Louis DENOLLE is the player’s agent.

Founded in 1881, Bordeaux are regarded as one of the oldest clubs in France. Les Girondins won their first Ligue 1 trophy in 1950 and 59 years later (2008/2009) they lifted their sixth domestic trophy.

Nowadays Les Girondins welcome their rivals at Matmut Atlantique, the stadium which was opened in 2015 and they used to play at Stade Chaban-Delmas in the past.
