Our prediction for this match:
Morocco and Angola go head to head at Stade d’Agadir in an all-African friendly international. Morocco aim to recover from the shocking Africa Cup of Nations defeat to South Africa and we are positive that they will go all guns blazing at Angola. The good news for boss Walid Regragui is that Real Madrid ace Brahim Diaz has decided to represent Morocco on the international stage. As Hakim Ziyech and Youssef En-Nesyri made the cut as well, home win should definitely be considered.
Even though the Palancas Negras were producing fine performances at the showpiece tournament in Ivory Coast, we are going to bet on Morocco this time out as they are buoyed by Brahim Diaz’s decision to play for the national team. A man to keep an eye on in the away team will be Al Ittihad forward Mabululu, who has netted 10 goals in 30 appearances for the national team.
Highlighted Player (Amine Harit):
Amine Harit is a French-born Moroccan footballer, who plays for Schalke 04 in Bundesliga. Born in Pontoise (France) on June 18, 1997, Harit began his youth career in the suburbs of Paris, learning the football basics with Argentuil C.O.
After spending four years at Esperance Paris 19eme, the attacking midfielder moved to famous French club Paris Saint-Germain. However, he quickly returned to Esperance Paris 19eme and in 2011 he joined fellow French club Red Star. One year later he moved to Nantes, where he ended his youth career.
Amine Harit continued playing for les Canaris at senior level and after scoring one goal in 30 league games for Nantes, he signed a contract with Bundesliga side Schalke 04. Harit made two appearances for France U21 team, but he represents Morocco at senior level. The attacking midfielder, who is used as a winger as well, made his Morocco debut on October 7, 2017 against Gabon in the 2018 FIFA world cup qualifiers.
Highlighted Team (Angola):
Angola national football team are controlled by Angola Football Federation. The Palancas Negras are affiliated to both CAF and COSAFA and they play their home matches at Estadio 11 de Novembro. Angola did well to qualify for the 2006 FIFA World Cup, but they failed to book their place in the last 16 on their debut at the showpiece tournament.
The African side faced the likes of Portugal, Mexico and Iran in Group D, with the team sharing the spoils with Iran and Mexico, while suffering a loss to Portugal. The Palancas Negras have been struggling to qualify for the FIFA World Cup finals ever since, but they made it to the Africa Cup of Nations on two occasions (2008, 2010).
Angola wear red shirts and black shorts when hosting their rivals, whereas their away kit is white. It has to be noted that the Palancas Negras suffered a 3-2 loss to Congo in their first ever international.
