Following a 1-1 draw with Stevenage, Charlton Athletic will look to return to winning ways in the League One when they take on Wycombe on Saturday afternoon. The Red Robins are eager to record their third win of the season and, no doubt, late equalizer by Blackett-Taylor at the weekend gave them a confidence boost. Barring any fresh injury worries, Michael Appleton is unlikely to make too many changes to the team that shared the spoils with the Boro.
The Chairboys, on the other hand, have been making progress week by week, with the team extending their winning run to three games against Blackpool. Wycombe aim to climb to the playoffs berth, but seeing that Charlton are tough to beat in London, away win should not be considered. As the Chairboys have been involved in some low-scoring games of late, we are tempted to put our money on under 2.5 goals. A man to watch in the away team will be experienced forward Sam Vokes, who opened the scoring against the Seasiders.

Sam Vokes began his professional career at Bournemouth and after scoring 16 goals in 54 appearances for the Cherries, he moved to Wolverhampton Wanderers in 2008. He signed a four-year deal contract with the Wolves, but was quickly sent on loan to Leeds United. After spending enjoying loan stints with Bristol City, Sheffield United, Norwich City, Burnley and Brighton, he signed a permanent contract with the Clarets for a fee of £350k.
Sam Vokes impressed in the 2013/2014 Championship campaign, with the Wales international scoring 20 goals in the process. He was struggling with injuries in the 2014/2015 Premier League campaign and, as a result, he failed to find the net for Burnley in 15 appearances in the English top flight. Vokes found his best form in the 2015/2016 season and thanks to his 15 goals the Clarets returned to the English elite division.
Sam Vokes was born and raised in England, but his grandfather was born in Wales and, as a result, he made his debut for the Dragons on 28 May, 2008 in a 1-0 win over Iceland. Vokes helped Wales reach the Euro 2016 semi-finals, scoring in the 3-1 quarter-final win over Belgium.

Charlton Athletic are yet another capital club that will compete in the 2019/2020 Championship season. Founded back in 1905, the Red Robins welcome their opponents at the Valley, the stadium which can hold up to 28,111 spectators. Charlton Athletic wear red shirts and white shorts when playing on home soil, whereas black is the dominant colour of their away kit.
Winning of the 1946/1947 FA Cup trophy is considered the club’s biggest success. The Red Robins defeated Burnley 1-0 in the title game, with Chris Duffy scoring the winner for Jimmy Seed’s charges in extra-time.
