Ipswich Town and Sheffield Wednesday take on each other in a competitive match for the first time since February 2019. Back then Sheffield Wednesday defeated Ipswich Town thanks to Lucas Joao’s late goal, and the Owls are once again seen as slim favourites to win the Portman Road clash. Former WBA attacker Saido Berahino should keep his place in the starting XI after finding the net in the 1-1 draw with Shrewsbury, while Josh Windass remains on the sidelines with injury.
The Tractor Boys, on the other hand, quickly bounced back from a heavy 5-2 loss to Bolton, with the team beating Lincoln 1-0 on the road. Born in Waunarlwydd, Wales on March 28, 1991, David Cornell is a goalkeeper who plays for Northampton Town in the League Two. The 180-cm tall shot-stopper is a product of the Swansea City football school, but he did not make any appearances for the Swans at senior level.
Cornell played for the likes of Port Talbot Town, Hereford United, St. Mirren, and Portsmouth on loan before signing a permanent contract with Oldham Athletic in the 2015/2016 season. In the summer of 2016, he joined Northampton Town on a two-year deal.
Speaking of his international career, David Cornell has three caps with the Wales U21 team, but he has yet to earn a call-up for the senior team. The Northampton Town goalkeeper wears the number 1 jersey, and his preferred foot is right. He has a contract with the Cobblers until June 30, 2020.
