Our prediction for this League 1 match:
Lincoln will be aiming to extend their excellent winning run to four games wen they face Leyton Orient at their LNER stadium on Friday afternoon. The Imps have been scoring goals for fun of late and they are likely to adopt yet another attack-oriented strategy against Leyton. Ethan Erhahon is sidelined through suspension, with Teddy Bishop likely to return to the starting XI.
The visitors, on the other hand, aim to stay in the playoffs berth, but given Lincoln’s amazing attacking potential, we do not believe that the visitors are capable of grabbing something from Friday’s encounter. It has to be noted that the Imps have netted 16 goals in total in the previous three league matches. As for the away team, Ethan Galbraith is widely expected to return to the starting XI, while Theo Archibald, Adam Thompson, and Jordan Graham remain in the recovery room.
Highlighted Player (Teddy Bishop):
Having joined Ipswich as an eight-year-old, Teddy Bishop rose through the ranks at Portman Road to become one of the key players for the Tractor Boys. Bishop’s road to prominence hit a serious roadblock in his first year of the academy scholarship when he endured a serious back injury, but it was in 2014 that he went from strength to strength – proving his worth at the club and emerging as one of the most promising players in the squad.
The total of 36 appearances in his debut season with the first team were more than enough to make an impression on the fans and the club hierarchy which offered him a new long-term deal.
This deep-lying midfielder in characterized by impressive passing accuracy, vision and great reading of the play. Bishop is an asset defensively as well, but he is most comfortable sitting just above the back line, spraying balls around. As a two-footed midfielder, Teddy Bishop is regularly being watched by a number of Premier League biggest clubs.
Highlighted Team (Leyton Orient):
Leyton Orient are the League Two side that welcome their rivals at Brisbane Road. The stadium, which was built and opened in 1937, can hold up to 9,271 people. When playing at Brisbane Road, the O’s wear red shirts and red shorts, while the colour of their away kit is blue.
Southend United are regarded as the club’s main rivals, with the two teams facing each other in the A13 derby. Leyton Orient have the rivalries with the likes of West Ham United, Millwall, Brentford, Dag & Red, and Barnet as well. The O’s registered their biggest win on November 12, 1955 as they crushed Crystal Palace 8-0.
Speaking of the club’s heaviest defeat, Leyton Orient were beaten by Aston Villa 8-0 in the FA Cup round 4 on January 30, 1929. Leyton Orient have four London Challenge Cup trophies (1912, 1972, 1973, and 1993), with the team clinching the Dubonnet Cup title in 1911.
