Our prediction for this League 1 match:
Stadium MK will host Tuesday’s football game between MK Dons and Plymouth, the two teams who are level on points in the League One standings. MK Dons quickly bounced back from a 1-0 loss to Blackpool, with the team beating Accrington 3-2 at home. The Dons escaped the danger zone, but boss Russell Martin must warn his players against the complacency. There are no absentees in the home team ahead of the visit of Plymouth.
The Pilgrims, on the other hand, suffered a dip in form, with the team losing each of their previous four league fixtures. Given MK Dons’ display in the triumph over Accrington, we predict that the visitors are going to return home empty-handed. Both George Cooper and Gary Sawyer are out of contention through injuries, but there are no suspended players in the away team.
Highlighted Player (Richard Keogh):
Richard Keogh is an English player, who has a deal with Derby County. The 188-cm-tall defender started his senior career in 2004 as he signed for Stoke City, but he was immediately sent on loan to Vikingur. After making nine appearances for the Icelandic club, he joined Bristol City in 2005.
Keogh made his Bristol City debut on 3 September, 2005 in a goalless draw with Colchester United. The Derby County defender then spent several seasons on loan at Wycombe, Huddersfield, Carlisle and Cheltenham before signing a permanent deal with Carlisle. Richard Keogh signed a three-year deal with Coventry City and he made 46 appearances for the club in the 2010/2011 Championship campaign.
Keogh played 45 games for Coventry in the 2011/2012 season and on July 2012 he joined Derby County. The defender made 178 appearances for the Rams until the 2016/2017 Championship campaign and he netted one goal for the iPro Stadium outfit. Keogh made his Republic of Ireland debut on 6 February, 2013 in a friendly game against Poland.
Highlighted Team (Plymouth):
Nicknamed the Pilgrims, Plymouth are a professional football club that host their rivals at Home Park. The stadium, which can hold up to 18,600 people, was built in 1892 and opened the following year. Plymouth footballers wear dark green jerseys and white shorts when playing in front of home fans, while light green and white are the dominant colours of their away kit.
The Pilgrims made it to the FA Cup semi-finals in the 1983-84 season, with the team advancing to the Football League Cup semis on two occasions (1964-65, 1973-74). The Pilgrims recorded their biggest win against Millwall on January 16, 1932, with the team beating the Lions 8-1, and they repeated the success in 1994 as they rolled over Hartlepool United in the Second Division.
The club suffered their heaviest defeat against Stoke City (0-9) on December 17, 1960. Fellow Devon teams Exeter City and Torquay United are seen as the club’s fiercest rivals.
