There will be fireworks when Oxford United and Charlton Athletic face each other at Kassam Stadium in what is expected to be one of the most exciting game of Saturday’s program. The Yellows produced an excellent display in the draw with Cambridge United, but they eventually picked up only one point from the League One derby. Oxford United produce much better showings at home than on the travels, and we are positive that they will grab something from Saturday’s clash.
The Red Robins, on the other hand, played out a goalless draw with Sheffield Wednesday in their opener. Since the capital club failed to take a shot on target in their opener, we are tempted to put our money on Oxford United. You should know that under 2.5 goals have been netted in each of the previous four meetings between the two clubs.
Highlighted Player (James Henry):
James Henry was born in Reading on 10 June, 1989, but he grew up in Woodley. He began playing football at his home-town club Woodley Saints, but he made progress during his spell at Reading’s youth academy. Henry is a winger who is capable of playing as a centre midfielder as well, but he failed to score for Reading in 10 league appearances for the club.
After ending his loan spells with the likes of Nottingham Forest, Bournemouth, Norwich City and Millwall, he signed a permanent deal with the Lions on 28 July, 2010. Henry signed a three-year deal with Millwall and he made his home debut in a 4-0 win over Hull City.
It has to be noted that Henry played for both Scotland and England at youth level in the past, but he has yet to make his debut for the first team. Henry was born in England, but his parents are Scottish and, as a result, he is eligible to play for both England and Scotland.

Charlton Athletic are yet another capital club that will compete in the 2019/2020 Championship season. Founded back in 1905, the Red Robins welcome their opponents at the Valley, the stadium which can hold up to 28,111 spectators. Charlton Athletic wear red shirts and white shorts when playing on home soil, whereas black is the dominant colour of their away kit.
Winning of the 1946/1947 FA Cup trophy is considered the club’s biggest success. The Red Robins defeated Burnley 1-0 in the title game, with Chris Duffy scoring the winner for Jimmy Seed’s charges in extra-time.
Fellow capital clubs Crystal Palace and Millwall are regarded as Charlton’s fiercest rivals, whilst Samuel Bartram, who made 579 appearances for the club is one of the most famous footballers who played for the Valley outfit. The club based in London will compete in the English second tier in the 2019/2020 season following a three-year absence.
