Buoyed by the Boxing Day win over Cheltenham Town, Plymouth will look to retain top position in the League One table when they face Wycombe on Thursday evening. The Pilgrims are eyeing their third consecutive league win, but they will have to prove their worth on the field. There are no fresh selection worries in the home team, but both Finn Azaz and Brendan Galloway remain in the recovery room.
This game comes too early for James Bolton, who is back in training. The Chairboys, on the other hand, aim to stay in the playoffs berth. Wycombe proved their worth in back-to-back wins over Ipswich Town and Bristol Rovers, but beating Plymouth on the road is easier said than done. Taking everything into account, we believe that gamblers from all around the globe can find value in betting on draw. Gareth Ainsworth is unlikely to make changes to the team that defeated the Pirates on Boxing Day.

David Wheeler is an English professional footballer who plays for League One's Wycombe Wanderers as a right-winger. He was born in Brighton on the 4th of October, 1990. The 29-year-old joined Brighton and Hove Albion's youth academy in the year 2000. He remained with the club for six years before joining Lewes, where he signed his first professional contract.
Ironically, his maiden competitive appearance for the club came as a substitute against his former team on the 5th of March, 2008. The following season, he scored his first-ever senior goal against Altrincham in the Conference South. The pacey winger left Lewes in 2011 and followed up with two successful stints at Staines Town and Exeter City, the latter for which, he made over 150 appearances and scored 39 goals in all competitions. At the start of the 16/17 season, he joined Queens Park Rangers on a three year deal in what was a high profile transfer but made little impact.
During his time at QPR, he was sent out on loan twice before being released from his contract in 2019. He joined his current club Wycombe on the 30th of June, 2019, and has made nine appearances for them so far. Wheeler's involvement with the International setup meanwhile has been restricted to featuring for the England Under-18 Schoolboys for whom he made eight appearances during the 08/09 season.

Founded back in 1887, Wycombe Wanderers are one of the oldest clubs in the League One. The Chairboys are well known for their sky blue and dark blue shirts, but the colour of their away kit is orange combined with gun-metal gray.
Wycombe Wanderers host their rivals at Adams Park, a small stadium in Sands Industrial Estate which can hold up to 10,137 people. Milton Keynes Dons are seen as the club’s main rivals, with the two teams facing each other in the Buckinghamshire derby. Wycombe Wanderers made it to the FA Cup semis in the 2000/2001, with the team repeating the success in the League Cup six seasons later.
It has to be noted that the Chairboys have two FA Trophy titles (1991, 1993). Legendary midfielder Gareth Ainsworth is considered one of the club’s most famous players. Ainsworth scored 16 goals in 112 league appearances for Wycombe Rovers.
