Saturday’s football game at Lamex Stadium pits together Stevenage and Barnsley, the two promotion-chasing teams. The Boro quickly bounced back from a 2-1 loss to Portsmouth, with the team beating Shrewsbury thanks to Jamie Reid’s goal and, no doubt, the triumph gave them a confidence boost. With no fresh injury worries to report, Steve Evans is unlikely to make changes to the team that defeated the Shrews.
The Tykes, on the other hand, aim to build on back-to-back wins over Bristol Rovers and Carlisle. Barnsley and Stevenage, though, seem to be evenly matched at the moment and we predict that they are going to share the spoils in the Lamex Stadium showdown. As for the away team, Herbie Kane limped off with injury against the Cumbrians, with Jonathan Russell likely to replace him in the starting XI. Earlier in the process Barnsley defeated Stevenage 2-1.

Jake Taylor is a product of the Reading football academy who plays for Exeter City in the League Two. Taylor spent his youth career at Reading, and he continued wearing the blue and white shirt at senior level.
After scoring two goals in 31 appearances with the Royals in the league, the English footballer spent several seasons on loan at the likes of Aldershot Town, Exeter City, Cheltenham Town, Crawley Town, Leyton Orient, and Motherwell. In 2016 Jake Taylor returned to Exeter City, signing a permanent deal with the St James Park outfit.
Despite being born in Ascot, England, on December 1, 1991, Taylor represents Wales on the international stage. He has ten caps with the Wales U21 team, and he made his debut with the Dragons at the senior level in a 2-1 win over Cyprus on October 13, 2014. His primary position is central midfielder.

Barnsley are an English club nicknamed the Tykes. The club was founded in 1887 and it has to be noted that they spend more seasons in the Championship than any other club in the history. The Tykes played in the Sheffield and District League from 1890, but in 1895 they were part of the Midland League. Barnsley play their home games at Oakwell, the stadium that was built in 1887.
The capacity of the stadium is 23,009 and it was opened back in 1888, just one year after the club’s foundation. The Tykes made it to the FA Cup final in 1910, but Newcastle United proved to be a big catch for the Oakwell outfit in the title game.
Nonetheless, Barnsley won the FA cup trophy in 1912 and that is considered the club’s biggest success. Barnsley defeated West Bromwich Albion in the two-legged tie (0-0, 1-0) to clinch the prestigious trophy for the first and only time in their history.
