Our prediction for this League 2 match:
Holker Street will host Wednesday’s League Two game between Barrow and Oldham, the two bottom-table sides. Barrow do not seem to be at their sharpest, with the team losing four of their last five league fixtures. Mark Cooper’s troops aim to make amends for a 2-0 loss to Tranmere, and they are likely to fight tooth and nail against the Latics. Both Kay and Zanzala are pushing for a start, speaking of the home team.
Oldham, on the other hand, are stuck at the bottom of the table with only 16 points in their pocket. Considering that the rock-bottom side have been struggling at the back of late, we believe that punters from all around the globe can find value in betting on Barrow. In their last meeting in the English fourth tier Barrow defeated Oldham, and we predict that the history is going to repeat itself.
Highlighted Player (Luke James):
After starting his senior career at Hartlepool United, Luke James moved to Peterborough United in 2014. The English attacker played for the likes of Bradford City and Bristol Rovers on loan as well before joining Forest Green in the 2017/18 season.

James made his Barrow debut in the League two on September 12, 2009 in a 1-1 draw with Stevenage, and he scored his first goal for the club the following month in a 2-2 draw with Walsall.
His main position is centre-forward, but he is capable of producing fine displays as a winger as well. Born in Amble, England on November 4, 1994, Luke James has a contract with Barrow until July 20, 2020. His preferred foot is right.
Highlighted Team (Oldham):
Based in Oldham, Greater Manchester, Oldham Athletic are a professional football club that compete in League Two. The Latics play their home matches at Boundary Park, the venue with the capacity of 13,512 spectators. Oldham Athletic are well known for their blue and white home kit, with the owl being the symbol of the club.
The Latics did remarkably well to make it to the League Cup final in 1990, but Nottingham Forest proved to be a big catch for Joe Royle’s troops in the title game. Oldham made it to the FA Cup semis on three occasions (1912/13, 1989/90, 1993/94), and in 1979 they advanced to the Anglo-Scottish Cup final. The Latics registered their biggest league triumph on December 26, 1962, with the team crushing Southport 11-0 in Division 4.
Speaking of the club’s heaviest defeat, Oldham Athletic were hammered by Tranmere Rovers 14-3 at Prenton Park on December 26, 1935. Bolton, Stockport, and Blackburn are the club’s traditional rivals, but nowadays, Huddersfield Town are seen as the Latics’ fiercest rivals.
