Our prediction for this League 2 match:
Friday’s football game at Valley Parade pits together Bradford City and Tranmere Rovers, the two teams who are level on points in the League Two table. The Bantams are on a four-game losing run in the league, but they are surely capable of matching Tranmere on home soil. Midfielder Alex Pattison remains on the sidelines with a long-term injury, while experienced forward Alex Gilliead is a major doubt and the 28-year-old will be assessed ahead of the kick-off.
The Rovers, on the other hand, produced an under-par performance in a 3-1 loss to Crawley Town at the weekend. Tranmere and Bradford, though, seem to be evenly matched at the moment and we predict that they are going to share the spoils at Valley Parade. The visitors will be without talented defender Jake Leake in Friday’s clash, while Tom Davies faces race against the clock to be fit for the Bradford game.
Highlighted Player (Jordan Turnbull):
Born in Trowbridge, England, on October 30, 1994, Jordan Turnbull is a professional footballer who plays for Northampton Town as a defender. Turnbull is a product of Swindon Town football academy, but in 2007 he was spotted by Southampton scouts.
Despite signing a professional contract with Southampton, he did not see any game action with the Saints at senior level. The English footballer made no fewer than 86 league appearances for Swindon Town during his loan spell with the Robins, and in 2016 he signed a contract with Coventry City.
Jordan Turnbull spent the 2017/2018 on loan Partick Thistle before joining Northampton Town permanently. Speaking of his international career, the Northampton centre-back has two caps with the England U19 team, and one cap with the England U20. Jordan Turnbull, who is used as a left-back as well, wears the number 6 jersey at Northampton Town. His preferred foot is left.
Highlighted Team (Bradford):
Founded back in 1903, Bradford City are professional football club that compete in League Two. The Bantams are well known for their claret and amber shirts, whereas white is the dominant colour of their away kit. Bradford City maintain rivalries with Leeds United and Huddersfield Town, with the teams facing each other in the West Yorkshire derby.
The Bantams participated in the Bradford derby with local rivals Bradford Park Avenue in the past. Bradford City did remarkably well to win the FA Cup in 1911, with the team beating Newcastle United in the final. In 2013 the club made it to the League Cup final, where they suffered a heavy 5-0 loss to Swansea City in the title game.
Saint Kitts and Nevis international Ces Poss is the player with most appearances (502) for the club, while former Northern Ireland attacker Bobby Campbell is sitting in the top position in the Bradford City all-time top goalscorers list.
