Our prediction for this League 2 match:
Carlisle United and Stevenage take on each other at Brunton Park on the penultimate day of the season. The Cumbrians are 13 points clear of the relegation zone, with the team losing three of their last four league fixtures. Carlisle United are eager to impress in their last home game of the season, but they should be happy with one point from Saturday’s clash as well. Paul Simpson should opt to make changes to the team that suffered a 3-0 loss to Harrogate, with all Omotoye, Dennis, and Mellor pushing for a start.
The Boro, on the other hand, secured the League Two survival despite suffering a 2-0 loss to Mansfield Town in their last league match. Since Stevenage will be with guards down in the Brunton Park game as well, both teams to score betting option should be considered. All Daly, Lines, and Andrade could sneak into the away team’s starting XI this time out.
Highlighted Player (Magnus Norman ):
Magnus Norman is a talented goalkeeper who plays for Carlisle United in the League Two, the fourth tier of the English football system. Born in London on January 19, 1997, Norman is a product of his hometown club Fulham.
Despite being a Fulham player from 2014 to 2020, the shot-stopper did not see any game action with the Cottagers at senior level. After spending a couple of years on loan at the likes of Farnborough, Hayes and Yeading United, Southport, and Rochdale, he signed a two-year deal with Carlisle United on August 7, 2020.
Magnus Norman represented England at under-18 youth level, but he has yet to receive a call-up for the senior team. The Carlisle United goalkeeper made his debut with the club in an EFL Trophy clash against Sunderland on October 6, 2020. The Black Cats won the game 5-3. Magnus Norman wears the No. 1 shirt at Carlisle United.
Highlighted Team (Stevenage):
Based in Hertfordshire, England, Stevenage Borough are a professional club that compete in the League Two. The Boro are well known for their red and white home hit, while dark blue is the dominant colour of their away kit. Stevenage play their home games at Broadhall Way, the stadium which can hold up to 6,722 spectators and they were founded in 1976.
The Boro have won FA Trophy on two occasions (2006/07, 2008/09), with the team clinching the Herts Senior Cup title in the 2008/09 season thanks to a 2-1 win over Cheshunt. Luton are considered one of the club’s biggest rivals and there have always been fireworks in matches between the two sides.
In 2015 fighting broke out between rival fans near to the end of the clash at the Lamex. It has to be noted that Stevenage Borough were founded in 1976 after the bankruptcy of Stevenage Athletic.
