Our prediction for this League 2 match:
After suffering a heavy 3-0 loss to Colchester in their last league match, Doncaster will look to get back on course when they face Walsall on Matchday 20. The Donny are only three points behind the playoffs berth, meaning that Friday’s clash is of big importance for the home team. Aidan Barlow is unlikely to feature against Walsall after limping off with injury against the U’s. Meanwhile, the Saddlers recorded three wins in the previous four league fixtures.
Since Walsall want to move closer to the playoffs places as well, we are tempted to put our money on both teams to score. Both Andrew Williams and Douglas James-Taylor are pushing for recalls to the starting XI after the duo got their names on the scoresheet in the victory over Carlisle United. You should bear in mind that over 2.5 goals have been netted in five of their last six meetings in all competitions.
