Our prediction for this League 2 match:
Mansfield Town and Bolton Wanderers take on each other at Field Mill in the League Two round 26. Mansfield were struggling to find their form at the start of the season, but they look unstoppable in the League Two at the moment. The Yellows are on a five-game winning run in the League Two, and they are likely to go for a victory in the midweek clash as well. A man to watch in the home team will be Jamie Reid, who has found his goal-scoring touch of late.
Bolton, on the other hand, suffered a 2-1 loss to Tranmere in their last league match. The Wanderers are not enjoying a season to remember, and given Mansfield’s form in 2021, anything but a routine home win would be a major surprise. Defender Ryan Delaney is sidelined through suspension for the hosts, which is yet another reason why home win should be considered.
Highlighted Player (Jordan Bowery):
Born in Nottingham, England, on July 2, 1991, Jordan Bowery is a professional footballer who plays for Mansfield Town. Bowery played for a number of English clubs, but we should mentioned the notable ones only.
The Mansfield No. 9 was a part of the likes of Aston Villa, Bradford City, Rotherham United, and Crewe Alexandra in the past. Jordan Bowery joined the Yellows in the summer of 2020, signing for the club on a free transfer. He made his Mansfield Town debut in the League two in a goalless draw with Tranmere Rovers on September 12, 2020.
Bowery scored his first goal for the Yellows in a 2-2 draw with Leyton Orient on September 19, 2020. Centre-forward is the position that suits him the most, but he is used as both left and right winger as well. His preferred foot is right. Jordan Bowery has never played for the England national team.
Highlighted Team (Bolton):
Bolton Wanderers were formed as Christ Church Football Club back in 1874 and three years later they adopted their current name. The Trotters currently compete in the Championship and they play their home games at Macron Stadium, which was opened in 1997.
Speaking of the club’s trophies, Bolton Wanderers won the FA Cup on four occasions (1923, 1926, 1929 and 1958), but they have yet to win the Premier League title. The Trotters were producing splendid displays in the 2003/2004 Premier League campaign, with the team finishing the season in eighth position in the standings, which is regarded as the club’s best result in the English top flight.
Bolton did well to reach the UEFA Cup knockout stages in the 2007/2008 season; the English outfit eliminated Atletico Madrid in the two-legged tie, but Sporting Lisbon eventually proved to be a big catch for the Trotters.
Nigeria international Jay-Jay Okocha is one of the most notable footballers who played for Bolton and he scored 14 goals in 124 appearances in the league for the club. Bury are considered the club’s fiercest rivals.
