Our prediction for this League 2 match:
Stadium MK will host Saturday’s football game between MK Dons and Forest Green. The Dons have been producing fine displays in December and they are undefeated in the previous five league fixtures. Mike Williamson is likely to field the best possible side this time out after resting several first-team regulars in a 4-0 loss to Brighton U21 in the EFL Trophy.
The Green Army, on the other hand, did well to beat Scarborough 4-2 in the FA Cup replay, but they will have a much bigger fish to fry against MK Dons, who have been making progress week by week. In their last meeting at the venue MK Dons defeated Forest Green thanks to Daniel Harvie’s goal and we predict that history is going to repeat itself. There are no fresh injury concerns in the visiting team ahead of the trip to Buckinghamshire.
Highlighted Player (Troy Deeney):
Troy Deeney started his professional career in 2006 at Walsall. The prolific attacker scored 27 goals in 123 appearances for the club and in 2010 he went on to sign a contract with Watford. He joined the Hornets for a fee of £500,000 and it has to be noted that he scored only two goals for the team in the 2010/2011 Championship campaign.
However, as time went by he was raising his form and in the 2014/2015 the English attacker scored 21 goals for Watford and helped the team secure promotion to the Premier League. Troy Deeney was playing an important role in Quique Sanchez Flores’ team on their return to the English top flight and he bagged no fewer than 13 goals in the 2015/2016 season.
Deeney was born in Birmingham, West Midlands, on 29 June, 1988 and he has two children, Myles, a son, and a daughter Amelia. His brother Ellis is a football player as well, but he plays as a midfielder. The striker has also spent some time in prison, but has since seriously improved his behaviour.
Highlighted Team (MK Dons):
Based in Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire, Milton Keynes Dons are a League One club that welcome their rivals at Stadium MK. The venue was opened in 2007 and can hold up to 30,500 spectators. Milton Keynes Dons play their home games in white shirts and white shorts, whilst their away kit is red.
The Dons are one of the youngest clubs in England as they were founded in 2004, but they are well known for youth development. English attacker is the club’s all-time top goal-scorer, netting 62 goals in 165 appearances for MK Dons. Dele Alli, who currently plays for Tottenham Hotspur, is the most famous footballer to have played for the Milton Keynes Dons, netting 18 goals in 62 appearances for the club in the league.
Speaking of notable coaches, it has to be noted that former Liverpool superstar Robbie Fowler and ex German international Dietmar Hamman were in charge of the club.
