Morecambe will be aiming to make amends for a 1-0 loss to Port Vale when they take on Scunthorpe at their Globe Arena. The Shrimps are on a three-game winless run in the League Two, but despite their anything but good form, they are still sitting in the playoffs berth. It has to be noted that Morecambe failed to turn their dominance into goals at the weekend as Port Vale had no more than four goal attempts in the Vale Park clash.
The Iron, on the other hand, are ten points clear of the relegation zone, meaning that the hosts want this win more than the visitors. Scunthorpe have been struggling in front of goal of late, which is yet another reason why we are tempted to put our money on the promotion-chasing hosts. After spending several seasons on loan at Halifax Town, Newcastle Town, IBV, and Curzon Ashton, the English footballer joined Yeovil Town on a permanent basis in the 2014/2015 season. A-Jay Leitch-smith played for the likes of Port Vale, Shrewsbury Town, and Dundee (loan) as well before moving to his current club Morecambe.
Leitch-Smith is a very intelligent and creative attacker with good technical abilities. His preferred foot is centre-forward, but he is used as both second striker and right winger as well.
