Morecambe and Tranmere Rovers face each other at Globe Arena in the League Two round 27. Morecambe aim to build on back-to-back wins over Colchester and Exeter, and they are likely to adopt yet another attack-minded approach against Tranmere. The Shrimps are eager to cement their spot in top three, and we predict that they will prove their worth on the field.
The Super Whites, on the other hand, have been impressive on home soil of late, but given their anything but brilliant away record, we believe that punters can find value in betting on Derek Adams’ troops. In the first half of the season Morecambe defeated Tranmere thanks to Adam Phillips’ goal, which is yet another reason why we are tempted to put our money on the hosts. After spending several seasons on loan at Halifax Town, Newcastle Town, IBV, and Curzon Ashton, the English footballer joined Yeovil Town on a permanent basis in the 2014/2015 season. A-Jay Leitch-smith played for the likes of Port Vale, Shrewsbury Town, and Dundee (loan) as well before moving to his current club Morecambe.
Leitch-Smith is a very intelligent and creative attacker with good technical abilities. His preferred foot is centre-forward, but he is used as both second striker and right winger as well. The English footballer, who wears the number 28 jersey at Morecambe, has a contract with the Shrimps until June 30, 2021.

Based in Birkenhead, Merseyside, Tranmere Rovers are a professional club that compete in the League One. Tranmere were founded back in 1884 under the name of Belmont FC, with the football arms of cricket clubs Lyndhurst Wanderers and Belmont coming together. The club recorded their first win later in 1884 as they outclassed Brunswick Rovers 4-0.
Nowadays Tranmere Rovers play their home games at Prenton Park, the venue which can hold up to 15,567 people. The Rovers wear white shirts and blue shorts in home matches, but back in the 19th century orange and red were the dominating colours on their kit.
Tranmere fans see Bolton Wanderers as the club’s main rivals, but they have built a small rivalry with Chester City and Everton as well. The Prenton Park outfit did well to make it to the League Cup final in the 1993/1994 season, but Aston Villa proved to be a big catch for them in the title game.
