Walsall
Morecambe will be aiming to kick off new League Two campaign in style when they host Walsall to their Mazuma Stadium. The Shrimps were relegated from the League One last term and, no doubt, they are eager to secure a quick return to the English third tier. The likes of Chris Stokes, Charlie Brown, Cammy Smith, Yann Songo’o have been added to the squad during the summer transfer window, but Saturday’s clash will be anything but a walk in the park for the hosts.
The visitors, on the other hand, outplayed Solihul Moors 3-0 in their last warm-up game, but beating Morecambe on the road is easier said than done. A close encounter is on the cards at Mazuma Stadium; therefore, we predict that the two sides are going to share the spoils in the season opener. A man to watch in the away team will be centre-forward Aramide Oteh, who joined the club from Crawley Town earlier this summer.

Born in Cork, the Republic of Ireland on October 25, 1992, Anthony O’Connor is a professional footballer who plays for Bradford City as a defender. His primary position is a centre-back, but he is used as both right-back and defensive midfielder as well.
The Irish footballer is a product of the Blackburn Rovers football academy, but he did not see any game action with the Riversiders at senior level. After ending his loan spells with the likes of Burton Albion, Torquay United, and Plymouth Argyle, Anthony O’Connor signed a permanent deal with the Pilgrims in 2015. At the end of the 2014/2015 season, O’Connor returned to Burton, signing a two-year contract with the Brewers.
In the summer of 2016, he moved to Scotland Premier League club Aberdeen where he scored five goals in 61 league appearances. In June 2018 he joined League Two side Bradford City. It has to be noted that Anthony O’Connor has eight caps with the Republic of Ireland U21 team.

Founded in 1888, Walsall are a professional club that play home matches at Bescot Stadium. The capacity of the venue is 11,300 people and it was opened in 1990. Nicknamed the Saddlers, Walsall footballers wear red shirts and white shorts when playing in front of home fans, while black is the dominant colour of their away kit.
Walsall played out a goalless draw with Aston Villa on April 9, 1888 in their first ever game, with the team recording their biggest win on March 4, 1899 against Darwen (10-0). The Saddlers suffered their biggest defeat on December 17, 1892 as they were beaten by Small Heath 12-0.
Walsall fans consider wolverhampton wanderers the club’s biggest rivals, but the Saddlers have rivalries with Shrewsbury Town and Port Vale as well as the two clubs are only 30 miles away from Walsall. Crystal Palace centre-back Scott Dann is one of the most notable footballers who played for the Bescot Stadium.
