Our prediction for this League 2 match:
Northampton and Hartlepool face each other at Sixfields Stadium in what is expected to be a close League Two encounter. The Cobblers have been having their ups and downs of late, with the team beating both Tranmere and Stevenage, while losing to Carlisle and Bristol Rovers. Northampton are eager to secure automatic promotion, and seeing that several teams are breathing down their neck Saturday’s clash is of big importance for the home team.
Defender Tyler Magloire, who limped off with injury at the weekend, is unlikely to feature against Hartlepool. The Pools, on the other hand, aim to move closer to the playoffs berth. Graeme Lee’s troops proved their worth in a 3-2 win over Newport, but they will have a much bigger fish to fry against Northampton, who are eyeing a top-three finish. One of the men to watch in the away team will be David Ferguson, who provided two assists for his teammates in the triumph over Newport.
Highlighted Player (Joseph Mills):
Joseph Mills is an Aston Villa product who plays for Northampton Town in the League One. Mills moved to Southampton in 2006, and he continued playing for the Saints at senior level. After ending his loan spells with Scunthorpe United and Doncaster Rovers, the pacey left-back joined Reading in 2011, but he made no more than 15 appearances for the Royals in the league.
After his short spell with Burnley, Joseph Mills moved to Oldham Athletic, and it has to be noted that he played for the likes of Perth Glory, Shrewsbury Town, and Forest Green Rovers as well before moving to Northampton Town.
Mills was born in Swindon, England on October 30, 1989, and he wears the No. 23 shirt with the Cobblers. His primary position is left-back, but coaches use him as a left midfielder as well. He has a contract with Northampton Town which should expire in June 2022.
