Tranmere
Oldham and Tranmere square off against each other at Boundary Park in what is expected to be one of the most exciting games of Tuesday’s program. The Latics are stuck in the relegation zone ahead of Matchday 20, but a win over Tranmere could see them climb to the safe zone. You should bear in mind that Oldham defeated Port Vale 3-2 in their last home game.
The Super Whites, on the other hand, aim to make amends from a heavy FA Cup defeat (0-4) to Leyton Orient. Tranmere are eager to move closer to the playoffs berth, but seeing that the relegation-threatened hosts want this win more than the visitors, we are tempted to put our money on the Boundary Park outfit. A man to keep an eye on in the away team will be former Liverpool midfielder Jay Spearing, who has been producing fine displays in the first half of the season.

Conor McAleny is a product of Everton youth academy, joining the club from Merseyside in 2003 at the age of 11. Despite the fact that his main position is centre-forward, McAleny is used as both second striker and left winger as well. McAleny did spend his youth career at Goodison Park, but it has to be noted that he made no more than two appearances for the Toffees at senior level.
The English attacker, who was born in Whiston on August 12, 1992, made his first-team debut in a 1-0 Premier League loss to Arsenal on December, 2011. Conor McAleny played for the likes of Scunthorpe United, Brentford, Cardiff City, Charlton Athletic, Wigan Athletic and Oxford United before signing a deal with Fleetwood Town.
The right-footed striker spent the second half of the 2018/2019 season on loan at Kilmarnock, scoring 3 goals in 11 appearances for the club in the Scottish Premier League.

Based in Birkenhead, Merseyside, Tranmere Rovers are a professional club that compete in the League One. Tranmere were founded back in 1884 under the name of Belmont FC, with the football arms of cricket clubs Lyndhurst Wanderers and Belmont coming together. The club recorded their first win later in 1884 as they outclassed Brunswick Rovers 4-0.
Nowadays Tranmere Rovers play their home games at Prenton Park, the venue which can hold up to 15,567 people. The Rovers wear white shirts and blue shorts in home matches, but back in the 19th century orange and red were the dominating colours on their kit.
Tranmere fans see Bolton Wanderers as the club’s main rivals, but they have built a small rivalry with Chester City and Everton as well. The Prenton Park outfit did well to make it to the League Cup final in the 1993/1994 season, but Aston Villa proved to be a big catch for them in the title game.
